Guess Who is Home…

Mark_HomeThe hospital released Mark around 8 p.m.  Our parents spent the afternoon getting supplies like sport pants that open on the sides, medications, wound/dressing materials, etc.  Mom worked on getting things around the house as clean and sterile as possible.  This morning they observed again as the hospital staff changed the leg dressing.  Sometime tomorrow morning a nurse is supposed to come to the house.  That service will be provided for five mornings.  In the evenings they will have to learn to change the dressing on their own.  It is quite a significant process that takes two people and about an hour.  Possibly in 3 or 4 weeks, one side of his leg will be able to be closed.  A few weeks after that, they are expecting to use skin grafts to close the other side of the leg.  We will have to take one day at a time.  Right after church tonight Mom called us when they pulled in the driveway from the hospital so that Pearson could help get Mark into the house.  Actually Mark did a pretty good job of doing part of that on his own.  He seems settled in somewhat and we are praying that they will all have a good night.

Coming home so soon wasn’t anyone’s first choice, and it feels a little overwhelming.  We are certain that God is in control and cares about every detail and we are trusting Him.  Please continue to pray for Mark and my parents that they would be encouraged by the Word of God and fellow believers.

Thank you Amy, for the updates. I will keep praying for God’s intervention in Mark’s healing process. And we will give Him all the praise and glory. I feel for your mom and dad. Alot of responsiblity. May God’s grace sustain them through this time. Love you all, Cathy If I do anything to help please ask.
