Wise Advice on Marriage

Thank you for your continued prayer for Mark. Amy’s updates on her brother will continue to be posted, but I wanted to share this video clip for your edification.

David Powlison, well known biblical counselor, gives some very wise and pastoral advice about relational closeness and factors and heart attitudes that hinder growing in our relationship with our spouse. I would commend it to you. A couple quotes to whet your appetite:

“We come in [to marriage] with a vision of what’s supposed to be, and then, lo and behold, we’ve married someone with feet of clay.”

“Me learning to love is going to involve in some essential way a growth in my repentance and faith towards the living God.”
